ARAB-SASANIAN; Hajjaj ibn Yusuf. AH 75-95 (694-713 AD.) Æ (0.42 gm; 18 mm). Bishapur series, obverse; sasanian bust facing forward, name "hc(a)cywsp(a)n - Hajjaj -e Yusufan on the right side, GDH and xvarrah/abzud on the left, letters APD on the margin at second quarter, reverse a moving forward horse with 2 line phrase, "pylwc" followed by "apad". Gyselen believes that APD on the margin might be a result of overstrike since it does not appear on all issues. Gyselen Type 62. Brown-reddish patina. Choice Good VF. Rare.
