Description
Roman. A small biface lead tessera, perhaps a theater ticket. Probably 1st century B.C.-3rd century A.D. One side shows Mercury wearing a petasos and winged sandals standing left, holding a caduceus, the other Victory advancing left, holding a wreath. Dimensions: 13 mm diam. Gray-green patina with a hint of deposits and minor surface roughness.
