Description
Roman. A small uniface Imperial lead seal. Ca. A.D. 300-305. The laureate head of one of the Tetrarchs right, with unfortunately not enough of the legend to identify which one (only the letter ...VS A[VG] are legible). Reminiscent of the portraiture for a central mint after the turn of the 4th century. Some roughness and edge irregularity. With a mound-sprue on the back. Light green patina with minor deposits and porosity.
