Description
Islands off Caria, Rhodos. Rhodes. Ca. 229-205 B.C. AR tetradrachm (23 mm, 13.43 g, 12 h). Ameinias, magistrate. Radiate head of Helios facing slightly right / POΔION, rose with bud to right; in left field, prow or galley right; flanking stem, magistrate''s name: AMEINI-AΣ. Ashton 212; SNG Keckman 542; SNG von Aulock 2799. Good style and metal. Light toning. Extremely fine.
