SASANIAN KINGS. Yazdgird II (438-457 AD). AR Drachm (4.02 gm; 28 mm). “SI” (Shiz or Sirjan) mint. Obverse; bust of Yazdgird with standard crown turning right, reverse; fire altar with attendants, prayer mode, mint abbreviation “SI” (Shiz or Sirjan), no date, exceptional crown rendition and other details on both reverse and obverse. Sunrise 934var. Sharply struck on a nice broad flan. Choice FDC. Fully lustrous. Wonderful example for the issue.
