NERO. 54-68 AD. Æ Sestertius (35mm - 28.70 g). Rome mint. Struck circa 64 AD. NERO CLAVD CAESAR AVG GER P M TR P IMP P P, laureate head left / ANNONA AVGVSTI CERES, SC in exergue, Ceres seated left, holding grain ears in right hand and torch in left, facing Annona who stands right holding cornucopia; between them is a modius set on an altar and a ship's stern. RIC I 138; BMCRE 129; WCN 128. Fine, brown patina, a little porous.
