DIOCLETIAN. 284-305 AD. AR Argenteus (18mm - 3.45 g). Siscia mint. Struck circa 294-295 AD. DIOCLETI-ANVS AVG, laureate head right / VIRTVS MILITVM, the four tetrarchs sacrificing over tripod before archway in eight-turreted enclosure. RIC VI 32a; Jelocnik 1; RSC 516m. EF, attractively toned with blue and golden iridescence around the devices, fully struck, small flan crack, choice metal.
