Description
A fine Nayarit figure from West Mexico, c. 200 BC – 300 AD. This nicely detailed San Sebastian type is 7-1/2” high, is posed seated, with hands on the hips. He is adorned with the typical multiple ear ornaments and has an unusual coif. The orange slip shows extensive mineral deposits. Museum deaccession. Value range: $200 - $300
