An adorable Chimu griton from Peru, c. 1100 – 1450 AD. This traditional example is 6” long and depicts a nicely detailed muca. Its head is turned upward in an eternal scream, the legs and tail are molded in high relief and the back is decorated with bands of nested diamond designs. In excellent condition, good mineral deposits. Ex Sarmiento collection. Value range: $375 - $500
