Lot 211: ANTIQUITIES, Moche figure

An exceptional Moche figure from Peru, c. 400 – 700 AD. This elaborately adorned female is 7-1/2" high and is posed standing, with arms molded in relief across the chest. She is adorned with a segmented collar and large ear ornaments. Her facial features are enhanced with paint, which is also used to show her clothing and headdress. A rare type in excellent condition, with good mineral deposits. Ex Pachenko collection. Value range: $500 - $600
