A fine Moche IV figural bottle from Peru, c. 450 – 550 AD. The vessel is 7-1/4” high and depicts a man wearing a mantle with linear décor. The highly expressive face is framed by the garment’s hood, with his coif and forelock molded in high relief and delicately incised. His eyes retain their original paint, creating a penetrating look. In excellent condition, good mineral deposits. Ex Pachenko collection. Value range: $600 - $800
