Description
A pair of alabaster cosmetic jars, New Kingdom, c. 1570 – 1075 BC, the larger with tapered body and angled neck with wide, flat rim. Minor chips to rim and foot. H: 2 ½” (6.4 cm). The second is a small round bodied type with lightly tapering base, neck and rim now lost. H: 1 ½” (3.7 cm). Ex 19th Century English private collection. Value range $400 - $500.
