A pair of Egyptian eyes for a funerary mask. The first is limestone and nicely carved with cornea painted black, 3rd Intermediate to Late Period, c. 1075 - 343 BC, intact with black deposits. L: 1 5/8” (4.2 cm). The second is of blue faience, Late Period, c. 712 - 30 BC, and lacks the inlaid sclera and cornea. Intact with good color. L: 1 7/8” (4.8 cm). Ex Los Angeles private collection.
