Antoninus Pius. A.D. 138-161. Æ Sestertius (24.69 g, 32.6 mm). Rome, A.D. 149. ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P TR P XII - Laureate head right / TEMPORVM FELICITAS COS IIII, SC - Crossed cornucopias from which a grape bunch flanked by two grain ears hang, surmounted by busts of two boys facing one another. RIC III 857; BMCRE 1827. The infants are believed to be T. Aelius Antoninus and T. Aurelius Antoninus, the twin sons of Marcus Aurelius and Faustina Junior born in A.D. 149. Both died during infancy.
