Description
ANTIQUITIES, Mezcala Idol from Mexico. A fine Mezcala idol from Guerrero, Mexico, ca. 1000 - 400 BC. This fine M4 type is 4" high and is made from a speckled stone (serpentine?). Arms and legs are clearly delineated and remnants of red pigment remain in the grooves, a rare feature. Mounted on stand.
