ANTIQUITIES, Cajamarca bowl from northern Peru. A fantastic Cajamarca bowl from northern Peru, ca. 200 – 800 AD. This delicate footed pedestal bowl is 8” in diameter and is made from orange-tinted kaolin. The interior is decorated with complex designs combining abstract zoomorphic patterns with woven design panels. The use of red paint is another rare feature not typically found on these. Intact. Rare type!
