Description
Vespasian. A.D. 69-79. Æ dupondius (28 mm, 11.61 g, 6 h). Rome, A.D. 73. IMP CAES VESP AVG P M T P COS IIII CENS, radiate head of Vespasian left / FELICITAS PVBLICA, S C across field, Felicitas standing facing, head left, holding globe(?) and cornucopiae. RIC 582; cf. BMC 661 (caduceus instead of globe); cf. BN 652-3 (same). Brown-black patina with specks of tan, small edge split, reverse a tough rough. Nearly very fine.
