Description
Roman Empire - Augustus (27 B.C.-14 A.D.) and Agrippa bronze dupondius (12.64 g. 25 mm), Colonia Nemausus (Nimes, Gaul) mint. COL NEM. Crocodile right, chained to palm tree! Obv.: IMP DIVI F / P - P, head of Agrippa left, wearing rostral crown, and head of Augustus right, wearing oak wreath, back to back. Rev.: COL NEM, crocodile chained to palm-branch; wreath with long ties above. RPC I 523; RIC I 155; SNG Copenhagen 698. Good very fine condition. Brown original patina.
