KINGS of MACEDON. Alexander III 'The Great'. 336-323 BC. AR Tetradrachm (27mm - 17.37 g). Byblos mint. Possible lifetime issue, struck circa 330-300 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress / Zeus seated left, holding eagle in right hand, scepter in left; AP monogram in left field. Price 3426; Müller 1375. Near EF, some golden toning around the devices, underlying luster.
