Pontos, Amisos. Under Mithradates VI Eupator. Ca. 85-65 B.C. Æ (21 mm, 8.81 g, 12 h). Wreathed head of Dionysos right / ΑΜΙΣΟΥ, cista and thyrsos; in upper left and right fields, monograms. SNG BM 1209; SNG Stancomb 699. Attractive dark green patina with some earthen highlights. Exceptional for one of these. Extremely fine.
