Ptolemaic Kingdom. Ptolemy III Euergetes. 246-222 B.C. Æ (46 mm, 76.59 g, 12 h). Alexandria. Diademed head of Zeus-Ammon right / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ, eagle with wings spread standing left on thunderbolt, head right; between legs, E. Svoronos 446; SNG Copenhagen 142. Red and brown patina. Two large casting pits on flan edge. Very fine.
