Apulia, Caelia. Ca. 325-275 B.C. Fourrée diobol (12 mm, 0.78 g, 12 h). Head of Athena right, wearing crested Attic helmet, the bowl decorated with florettes / [KAI], Herakles kneeling right, holding club and grasping lion. Cf. SNG ANS 664; HN Italy 757. Very rare. Minor porosity and core exposed on Herakles' leg. Good very fine.

The coin may be from Tarentum, as pointed out by this anonymous person with a blog: https://numismaticfakes.wordpress.com/2016/05/23/very-rare-slyness/comment-page-1/#comment-43

My response: Yes, perhaps my attribution is wrong. There was, however, no intent to deceive. To my loyal followers: It would have been nice, perhaps, if Mr. Anonymous had contacted me to discuss the coin before publicly defaming me and impugning my integrity.
