Macedonian Kingdom. Alexander III 'the Great'. 336-323 B.C. AR drachm (17 mm, 4.07 g, 12 h). Abydos, posthumously, ca. 310-301 B.C. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress / AΛEΞANΔP[OY], Zeus seated left, holding eagle and scepter; in left field and below throne, monograms; in outer right field, caduceus. Cf. Price 1546; ADM II series XV, 289. Very fine.
