Pontos, Amisos. Under Mithradates VI Eupator. Ca. 85-65 B.C. Æ (22 mm, 8.43 g, 12 h). Head of Mithradates VI, as Dionysos, right, wreathed with ivy / ΑΜΙΣΟΥ, thyrsos leaning against cista mystica draped with panther's skin; in left field, monogram. Malloy 26c; SNG BM 1205-7; SNG Stancomb 698. Brassy surfaces with light deposits. Very fine.
