Seleukid Kingdom. Seleukos I Nikator. 312-281 B.C. Fourré drachm (17 mm, 3.02 g, 2 h). Contemporary imitation. Head of Alexander the Great right, wearing helmet covered with panther's skin and adorned with the ear and horns of a bull / [ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΣΕ]ΛΕ[ΥΚΟΥ], Nike standing right, crowning trophy with wreath; between Nike's feet and trophy, monogram. Cf. HGC 9, 34. Porous, some smoothing and tooling. Very fine.
