C. Serveilius M.f. 136 B.C. Æ quadrans (15 mm, 2.13 g, 12 h). Rome. ROMA below, head of Hercules right, wearing lion’s skin headdress; behind, three pellets / [C ·] SERVEILI · M · F in exergue, prow of galley right; above, mast with flag and wreath above. Crawford 239/3; Sydenham 526a; BMCRR (Italy) 548. Scarce and attractive. Brown patina, pitting on obverse. Very fine.
A duplicate from the RBW Collection of Roman Republican Coins. Purchased privately from Roberto Russo, 27 August 1993.
