Description
ANTIQUITIES, Chimu Shamanic jug from Peru. A rare Chimu shamanic jug from Peru, ca. 1100 – 1450 AD. This intricately molded blackware vessel is 5-3/4” high and features four panels depicting shamans performing a rain ceremony. The spout is executed as a Wereqeque bird. Nicely burnished, good mineral deposits.
