Description

An Etruscan Genucilia Dish and a Greek black-ware plate. The first is an Etruscan Genucilia plate, c. 300 BC, decorated with four pointed star on floor and narrow bulge rim with wave pattern. Pedestal base with tapering raised walls around foot. Intact, some loss of design. H: 7 1/8” (5.4 cm); Dia: 5 5/16”. (13.4 cm).The second is a Greek black-ware fish plate, c. 4th Century BC, with small raised ring foot. Dia: 7 7/8” (19.9 cm). Repaired from three sherds, some areas of wear to slip. Ex Orange County private collection. Value range: 450-$550.
