Description
A nice Roman discus lamp with leaping lion, 2nd – 3rd Century AD. The lamp is mold made, convex lower part, a leaping lion within the central disk, shoulder decorated with lines. The nozzle is round, single handle at back, flat base set off by concentric rings, three incised branches inside. L: 4 1/8” (10.5 cm). Ex Orange County private collection. Value Range $350-$450.
