Description
An Eastern Mediterranean bronze short sword, c. 2nd Millennium BC, the blade formed from sharpened sheet copper, flat without midrib, a short tang at end which would have fit into a handle made from a perishable substance. L: 18 ¼” (46.4 cm). Intact with edges sharpened in antiquity. Ex Los Angeles private collection. Value range: $400-$450.
