2nd century B.C. AR karshapana (14 mm, 3.35 g). Five punches, including three human figures / Peacock symbol. A choice specimen with bold, clear punches. Very fine.

The identity of these three figures is still undecided. There is some speculation that these could represent the mythical heroes of the Ramayana - Ram, Sita and Lakshman.
