Description
1st century B.C. Æ unit (17 mm, 4.56 g). The goddess Lakshmi seated facing, flanked by two elephants standing on platforms and sprinkling water on her head (Abhisheka-Lakshmi) / 4-orbed Ujjain symbol. Pieper 305. A boldly struck specimen with complete details. Very rare and particularly nice for the issue. Reddish-brown patina with some encrustations. Very fine.
