Description
2nd century B.C. Æ unit (19 mm, 3.30 g). The goddess Lakshmi standing facing with one arm raised, holding a taurine symbol, flanked by wheel (chakra), Ujjain symbol and tree-in-railing / 4-orbed Ujjain symbol. Pieper 298. A rare type with Lakshmi holding up a taurine symbol in her left hand. Brown patina, softly struck. Fine.
