2nd century B.C. Æ fraction (9 mm, 0.66 g). Male deity Mahakal (Shiva) standing to left, holding kalasha (sacred pot) and danda (staff) / Composite symbol with Nandi bull rearing right surrounded by 4 orbs. Pieper -. A scarce fraction in the Ujjain series. Brown patina with sandy highlights. Very fine / fine .
A rare fraction in the Ujjain series. The lowest weight recorded by Pieper (coin 315) is 1.24 g – our specimen is half that.
