Description
BAKTRIA, Graeco-Baktrian Kings. Eukratides I, Circa 171-145 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.94 gm; 32 mm). Draped and cuirassed bust right, wearing Boeotian helmet adorned with bull's horn and ear. Reverse: Draped and jugate busts right of Heliocles, bare headed, and Laodice, diademed; HA monogram at left. Bopearachchi Series 13, A, pl. 19, 68. Mitchiner 182.b. Well struck on a nice broad flan. Full wreath on both sides. Choice AU. Nice old cabinet toning. Great example for this issue.
