Description
Hadrian. A.D. 117-138. Æ as (25 mm, 10.05 g, 6 h). Rome, ca. A.D. 124-128. HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS, laureate bust of Hadrian right, slight drapery on far shoulder / SALVS AVGVSTI, S C across field, Salus standing facing, head left, feeding from patera serpent rising from altar to left, and holding scepter. Cf. RIC 678 (no drapery). Dark green patina, some porosity and roughness. Very fine.
