Description
Hadrian. A.D. 117-138. Æ as (25 mm, 9.04 g, 6 h). Travel series. Rome, ca. A.D. 134-138. HADRIANVS AVG [COS] III P P, bare head of Hadrian right / ALEXANDRIA, S C in exergue, Alexandria reclining left, holding grain ears and vine branch, resting elbow on basket of grain; at feet, two grain stalks. Cf. RIC 844 (bust). Brown patina with light roughness on reverse. Nearly very fine.
