L AEL AVREL CO-MM AVG P [FEL], head of Commodus right, wearing lion's skin headdress / HER-CVL/RO-MAN/AV-GV in three lines, S C low across field, upright club, all within laurel wreath. RIC 644; Szaivert 853-9/72; BMC 722. Mottled green and brown patina. Very fine.
