SEVERVS PIVS AVG, laureate head of Septimius Severus right / P M TR P XV COS III P P, Africa, wearing elephant's skin headdress, standing facing, head right, holding out fold of drapery; at feet to right, lion walking right. RIC 207; BMC 531-2; RSC 493. Popular type. Toned, slight graininess. Good very fine.
