England, Mudie's National Medals. Constitution Granted to Ionian Islands, 1817. Æ medal (41 mm, 38.21 g, 12 h). Struck 1820. Dies by A.J. Depaulis. MDCCCXVII above, ENGLAND GIVES A / CONSTITUTION TO in exergue, Britannia seated left, reading tablets of the Constitution, statue of Neptune behind / THE IONIAN ISLANDS in exergue, seven females representing one of the islands, gathered around the British flag. BHM 958; Eimer 1094; Mudie 40. Scarce. Attractive brown patina, a few light marks. Extremely fine.
