Large Apuleian Blackware Skyphos. Southern Italy, IV Century BC. Large black ware two handled wine cup with wide mouth, tapering body and expanded foot. 4.25” high, 4” diameter 6.5” across handles. Cf.Toronto.566. Handles reattached as usual with these large cups, glaze rubbed. Choice. Unusual large size, very impressive display item.
