Valentinian I. A.D. 364-375. Æ centenionalis (19 mm, 2.43 g, 6 h). Cyzicus, A.D. 364-5, 366-7 and later. D N VALENTINI-ANVS P F AVG, diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Valentinian I right / SECVRITAS REIPVBLICAE, Victory advancing left, holding wreath and palm; SMKΓ. RIC 11a.3; LRBC 2519. Scarce mint for Valentinian I. Brown patina with overlaying sandy-green highlights. Very fine.

The mint of Cyzicus ceased striking for Valentinian I for a shot period (September A.D. 365) during the revolt of Procopius.
