SASANIAN KINGS. Varhran (Bahram) I. AD. 273-276. Gold Dinar (7.46 gm; 21 mm). Obverse: Bahram’s bust to the right with Mithra’s crown, triple dots on the korimbos of the crown, two large dots behind the head, and formation of three dots at the downward end of the hair, reverse; fire altar with attendants. Sunrise 754var. Finest rendition and craftsmanship on the obverse and reverse including the details of the crown, ribbons and portrait. Lovely strike. Choice FDC. Extremely rare.
