ROMAN EMPIRE; Carus. AD. 282-283. Silvered Bronze Antoninianus (4.32 gm; 22 mm). Tripolis mint. IMP C M AVR CARVS P F AVG Radiate and cuirassed bust of Carus to right / VIRTVS AVGG -TR - XXI Carus standing to right, holding short scepter in his left hand, receiving Victory on globe from Jupiter standing to left, holding long scepter in his left hand. Cohen 115; RIC 128. Well struck on a nice full flan. Dark brown patina. Nicely centered. Choice EF.
