BYZANTINE EMPIRE; Anonymous. time of Basil II & Constantine VIII. circa 976-1025. Bronze Follis ( 11.16 gm; 29 mm). Constantinopolis. Nimbate bust of Christ facing, wearing tunic and pallium, raising his right hand in benediction and holding book of Gospels in his left; in fields, IC - XC. / Legends in four lines. DOC, Class A2; SB 1813. Well struck on a nice full flan. Nice dark brown patina. Choice EF.
