ANCIENT INDIA, KUSHAN PERIOD. Gandhara. Ca. 2nd-3rd century AD. Hindu goddess stone figure. Offered is a stunning ancient Indian Hindu goddess stone figure from the Kushan period (2nd-3rd century AD) in magnificent and expertly hand carved style in very fine detail on face, hair, body, jewelry, and attire. This magnificent Hindu goddess stone figure was a fragment of a larger piece belonging to the early Kushan period in ancient region of Gandhara, Pakistan. Its condition is almost excellent, with some wear consistent with age in addition to lower bottom and right upper portions missing. The followings are the dimensions of this marvelous ancient India Hindu Kushan period figure:Height: 15 inches or 37 cm; Width: 6.69 inches or 17 cm; Depth: Approx. 3 inches or 8 cm; Weight: 5003 grams, 5 kilograms
