A lot of 4 Roman provincial bronzes, each bearing a countermark. Types includes an AE-26 of Domitian from Laodiceia, Syria with an obv. c/m of a male head rt.; an AE-23 from Antioch in Syria with an obv. c/m of a male head rt.; an AE-22 of Elagabalus from Gaza in Phoenicia, c/m small bust w/ A below representing Severus Alexander’s damnatio of Elagabalus’ memory (Howgego p. 138, 179); the last is an AE-20 of perhaps Claudius with a rectangular c/m containing a male head rt. (Howgego p. 137, 136-7). A good study group!
