Description
A fine Nayarit maternal figure from West Mexico, c. 200 BC – 300 AD. This nicely detailed example is 4-5/8” high and depicts a seated female holding a child in her lap. She is adorned with a large nose ring and multiple bracelets, the red slip is burnished and shows good mineral deposits. Ex Simpson estate. Value range: $400 - $500
