Description
A beautiful Ghandaran stone oil lamp from the Indus Valley, c. 100 - 300 AD. This finely crafted example is 4-1/8” long and is carved from the blue chlorite characteristic of the region. The leaf-shaped vessel is decorated with linear incising on the rim and underside. Rare type, good mineral deposits. Ex Khan collection. Value range: $165- $300
