Valerian I. A.D. 253-260. BI antoninianus (23 mm, 3.99 g, 6 h). Samosata. IMP C P LIC VALERIANVS AVG, radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / PIETAS AVGG, Valerian and Gallienus standing facing one another, sacrificing over altar, one on left holding an eagle-tipped scepter. RIC 284; Göbl 1676e; RSC 153. Slightly iridescent toning. Good silver flan, light porosity, well struck reverse. Extremely fine.
